Win8 system sets different input methods for each application

The ins and outs of the problem

On Windows 8 I use Excel to input English, switch to Word to input Chinese, but when Excel is set to English, the switch to Word will automatically switch to English. Unlike Windows 7, each application can set different input methods; is there a way to set different input methods for each application window in Windows 8?

The cause of the problem

This is a new feature of Windows 8, so that the input method of each application window can be unified. If you are not used to such a design, just check [ Let me set a different input method for each application window] setting.

Solution to the problem

1. Press [Win Window Key] + [X] and select [Console].

2. Select [Change Input Method].

3. Select the [Advanced Settings].

4. Let me check [for each application window set different input method], press [store] to save the settings.
