How to switch the full/half type of input method in Win8

When using Windows 8, you will find that the input method interface is different from previous versions of Windows. In previous versions of Windows, you can use the language column to switch input methods and change settings. However, in Windows 8, you will see the following image, and the input method becomes an icon in the [Notification Area].

Although you can click on this input method icon to switch between Chinese and English or input method types, we can't see the full/half type icon. In the previous version of Windows, we can view the current full/half type status in the language column. You can also use the shortcut keys [SHIFT + space] or switch the full/half type on the language column icon, but In Windows 8, the shortcut key [SHIFT + Space] seems to have expired, so how do I switch the full/half type?

In fact, in Windows 8, the shortcut key [ SHIFT + Spacebar] is invalid because the new version of Microsoft Input Method 2012 has removed this shortcut, including the new phonetic, Cangjie is one of the input methods in Microsoft input method, but it is also built-in ranks and big easy Input method, but this shortcut can be used normally. So if you are using the ranks or big easy, you can still use the shortcut keys to quickly switch, but if you are using other types of input methods such as new phonetic, you can switch the full/half type in the following ways. Method 1

If you are using a new phonetic or the like, you cannot use the shortcut keys to switch the full/half type input method, you can directly input the method on the notification area. Press the right button on the Chinese and English status icon to open the input method menu.

Then find [Word Width Switch] in the menu, and then select the full/half type you want to use.

Method 2

Although you can use method one to switch full/half type, when you input a lot of text, you often have to use the mouse to select many steps. Switching full/half type is really inconvenient, and it is not known whether it is full or half-type, so you can also open the language column in Windows 8.

After opening the language column, you can view the current full/half-type status directly in the language column, or you can switch the full/half type directly with the click of a mouse, although the shortcut keys are still not available. But this method can still save a little time compared to method one.
