How to partition Windows 8 system

Create an encrypted partition with the Windows 8 VHD function, and then use the BitLocker encryption method to encrypt the virtual hard disk twice. The combination of the two swords makes your personal data impregnable.

As a new generation operating system, Windows 8, adds a lot of new features in information security, especially VHD and BitLocker. The VHD function can help the user to virtualize a hard disk, and only need to store the private things in the virtual hard disk to achieve the purpose of “encryption”. In addition, the unbreakable BitLocker encryption method encrypts the virtual hard disk twice, and the data is safer after the two swords are combined. Speaking of whether there is a bit of a move here, then see how the old club is practicing!

Creating a virtual hard disk with VHD

First, load the disk volume. In the Windows 8 "Start" interface, click the "Desktop" icon to enter the desktop environment. Then move the cursor to the lower left corner of the desktop taskbar, pop up the “Start” icon, right click on the icon, and click “Disk Management” in the pop-up menu (see Figure 1). Open the “Computer Management” program. Next, click on "Disk Management" in the frame on the left side of the window. After that, all the disk volumes will be loaded under the right frame of the window.

Next, create a VHD virtual hard disk. Open the “Computer Management” program, right-click on the “Disk Management” icon in the left frame of the window, click “Create VHD” menu (see Figure 2), open “Create and Attach Virtual Hard Disk” & rdquo; Dialog. Then, click the “Browse” button under the dialog box to select the location of the virtual hard disk (here, select the file path as “E: Image Library”, the file name is ““123456”), click ““ After saving the ” button, return to the previous dialog box, “Virtual Hard Disk Size” can be set as desired. As long as it is not larger than the available space of the disk partition, it is set to “10000” for its own needs. Then select the “virtual hard disk format” below the “virtual hard disk format” and “fixed size”, so that the space of the virtual hard disk can be kept unchanged. Click the “OK” button to complete the creation (see Figure 3). .

Right-click on the “123456” file icon (that is, the VHD image file you just created) and click the “Load” menu to load the file.
