If the content is not playing in Modern mode, perform the steps described below to check if it is played in desktop mode:

: Flash Player is embedded in both versions. The Compatibility View (CV) list enables compatible rich media content in Modern Mode Internet Explorer. If something cannot be played in Modern mode, they may not be listed in the CV list. In this case, you can view these in desktop mode Internet Explorer.

• Swipe from the bottom or top edge to display the app bar.

• Open the “Tools“ menu and select View on Desktop. Check if you can view the content.

Disabling ActiveX Filtering

• Opening a page with Flash content in desktop mode Internet Explorer. (See the previous section to learn how to open content in desktop mode.)

• Select “Tools”>“Security”. If ActiveX filtering is selected (there is a check to indicate that ActiveX filtering is selected), click this option again to cancel.

• Close the browser and open it, then try to view the content.

Enabling Flash Player

Make sure Flash Player is enabled.

• Open a page with rich media content in desktop mode Internet Explorer. For example, find the Flash Player. (See the previous section to learn how to open content in desktop mode.)

• Select “Manage Add-ons from the “Settings“ menu.

• Select the Flash Player add-on: Shockwave Flash Object. Note: Make sure the site contains rich media content to see Flash Player in the list of add-ons.

• Click “Enable”, then click “Close”.

Installing the latest version of Flash Player

Some content may require a higher version than the Flash Player you have installed. See if you have installed the latest Flash Player version by visiting the Find Versions document. The second step of the document shows your existing version of Flash Player.

Flash Player is embedded in Internet Explorer in Modern and Desktop mode. All updates are delivered via the Windows update mechanism. You can also download and install the latest updates at the following link:

• 64-bit computers

• 32-bit computers

Enable updates to compatibility view (CV) lists

• Open a page with rich media content in desktop mode Internet Explorer. For example, find the Flash Player.

• If you don't see the <quo;Tools> menu in Internet Explorer, press the Alt key on your keyboard to open the menu bar.

• Click “Compatibility View Settings” from the <quo;Tools" menu.

• Select “Download the updated compatibility list from Microsoft” and click “Close”.
