What if the Win8 flash plugin cannot be updated?

  
                                    

Symptom:

Under the Win8 system, watching the video error message prompts that the flash plugin needs to be updated. The flash client cannot be updated.

Solution:

This issue may be caused by a damaged flash plugin. You can try it as follows:

1. After extracting Flash.rar from the attached file, rename the FlashUtil_ActiveX.exe.txt file in the Flash folder to “FlashUtil_ActiveX.exe” and get the final Flash. folder. And find the following path, C: WindowsSysWOW64Macromed and C: Windowssystem32Macromed

2. Rename the original flash folder under the two paths, such as Flashold. Then unzip the flash folder in the email and copy it to the file path of Macromed. Press Win+X to open “Command Prompt (Administrator)”.

3. Enter each line of commands in the order shown.

CD C: WindowsSystem32MacromedFlash

Regsvr32 Flash.ocx

Please note if there is a prompt after this command to display the registration success.

CD C: WindowsSysWOW64MacromedFlash

Regsvr32 Flash.ocx

Please note if there is a prompt after this command to display the registration success.

Note: If you fail to copy the Flash folder, it may be a folder permission problem:

1. Right click on the folder and select “Attributes” and click “Security”. , select “Advanced 

2. In the pop-up dialog box, click on the "Owners" line to select "Change". Enter the username of the currently logged in system in the Enter the name of the object you want to select, and then click “Check Name”. Confirm that the owner is already the current user name;

3. Then click on “Add” (with “Delete” and “View”), in the pop-up dialog box "Subject" Click on “Select Subject”. Enter the user name of the currently logged in system again, check the name;

4. Then you can check the basic privilege, and click ““completely control” and click “OK” to confirm.
