Win8 system sales in the first month is stronger than Win7

Win 8 has been on the market for more than a month, and there is mixed response to this Microsoft innovation market. In addition to criticism and praise, many people think that Windows 8 is just a Microsoft experiment, and hopes to wait for more mature products such as Windows 9 to consider upgrading.

When the market was on the “wait and see” perspective, the sales data for the first month of Windows 8 broke the estimate of its “Vista second”. According to TNW's figures, Microsoft has sold more than 40 million sets of Windows 8 in the past 32 days, with an average daily sales of about 1.25 million units.

Microsoft's earnings report released in January 2010 showed that Windows 7 sold 60 million units in the two months after its launch, with an average daily sales of about 860,000 units. In other words, Windows 8's sales data is 45% stronger than the most popular Windows 7 consumer.

Taking the first month's data against the previous two months is a hindrance to fairness, but at least it reflects that Windows 8 won't be "Vista second". Of course, one or two months of data can't deduce a successful conclusion. After 7 years of steady growth, Windows 7 surpassed Windows XP to become the most popular system. Whether Windows 8 can also show its full strength, we still need to wait and see.
