Win2003 graphic file server installation steps

  

File service is a commonly used service in the LAN, you can ensure the security of shared resources by setting users access to shared resources. Some users need to work on the system file server, but there is no related component in the win2003 system, so we have to manually install the win2003 system.

Step 1, log in to the Windows Server 2003 system as a system administrator, click on the “Manage Tools” "→“Manage Your Server" menu item in the Start menu to open “ Manage your server & window; Click the “Add or Remove Roles” button in the “Add Role to Your Server” area to enter the configuration wizard and click the “Next” button as shown.

Step 2, the configuration wizard to complete the detection of the network settings, if it is the first time you use the wizard, Will enter the "Configure Options" dialog box. Check the “Customize Configuration" radio box and click the “Next” button as shown.

Step 3, open the "server role" dialog box, select in the "server role" list “ File Server & rdquo; option, and click the "Next" button as shown.

Step 4, in the open & ldquo; File Server Disk Quotas & rdquo; dialog box, select & ldquo; new this server The user sets the default disk space quota & check box, and according to the disk storage space and the actual needs of the user, the disk space is limited to ” and “ set the warning level to ” enter the appropriate value in the edit box (such as 500M). In addition, check the "Reject disk space to users over quota limit" checkbox to prevent users from writing data to the server after they have reached the quota. Click the “Next” button as shown.

Step 5, open the "File Server Indexing Service" dialog box, select “ Yes, enable indexing service” A radio button that enables indexing services for shared folders. Click the “Next” button as shown.

Step 6, open & ldquo; select summary & rdquo; dialog box, confirm the settings are correct, click & ldquo; Next & rdquo; button.

In step 7, the Add Wizard starts to enable the selected service and automatically opens the “Share Folder Wizard” dialog. Click the “Next” button as shown.

Step 8, in the open & ldquo; folder path & rdquo; dialog box, click & ldquo; View & rdquo; Button, open the "Browse Folders" dialog box. Locate the folder that you want to set as a public resource on the local disk, and then click the “OK”→“Next” button as shown.

Step 9, open the "name, description and settings" dialog box, where you can set the share name and description of the shared folder language. After setting, click the “Next” button as shown.

Step 10, in the open "privacy" dialog box selected & ldquo; administrator has full access; other The user has read-only access to the radio box and clicks the “Complete" button as shown.

Step 11, open the "shared success" dialog box, in the "Summary" text box shows the shared folder path , share name, and share path. The share name and share path are used to advertise to network users. Click the “Close” button as shown.
