Build your own dual system Boot from hard drive to DOS

  
                

The DOS operating system is loaded into the memory and runs directly at boot time. The computer directly enters the DOS black and white screen interface, uses the DOS command to perform GHOST recovery system, or reinstalls the operating system, antivirus, etc. In the era of the Internet, system maintainers often inevitably boot the computer to DOS. For Windows 98, you can directly press F8 to enter DOS when booting, and for Windows 2000 (windows xp or Windows 2003), can you not use floppy disks or CD-ROM, boot directly from the hard disk to DOS? Below, quickly build a set of their own dual system, so that windows 2000 (windows xp or windows 2003) can boot directly from the hard disk to DOS.

Method 1: New Installation

If your Windows 2000 (Windows XP or Windows 2003) system is not installed and you are not planning to install the system on an NTFS partition, then install Windows. Before the 2000 (windows xp or Windows 2003) system, first format the system as a boot disk with a DOS boot file using “Format/s C:  (assuming the C partition is installed). After formatting is complete, then install windows 2000 (windows xp or windows 2003) system, keep the existing DOS operating system during installation, when your Windows 2000 (windows xp or Windows 2003) system is successfully installed, your windows 2000 (windows xp or windows 2003) + DOS dual system is also a success.

Method 2: Add DOS

Perhaps your Windows 2000 (Windows XP or Windows 2003) system is already installed; perhaps, you don't want your Windows 2000 (windows xp or Windows 2003) system is installed in the FAT32 partition … … then you can use a small and sophisticated software vFloppy & mdash; & mdash; to achieve windows 2000 (windows xp or windows 2003) + DOS dual system. It is a green software. After decompressing, run vFloppy.exe to open the program. The main interface is shown in Figure 1. Click the "Select path to image file" button, then select BOOTDISK.img or NTFS.img, click the [Apply] button to complete the Windows 2000 (windows xp or windows 2003) + DOS dual system.

As unmount the virtual boot floppy disk (in fact unloading alone, because itself has not been installed), just Boot.ini file in the root directory of the system partition Open (as shown in Figure 2), delete the corresponding startup item in the boot menu (for example: C: BOOTBOOTDISK.bin="Start by virtual boot floppy disk"), or change “timeout=30” “timeout=0” Just fine.
