Why is the win7 c disk space getting smaller and smaller

Reinstalled the win7 system, the software obviously did not install to the C drive, after using it for a while, I found that the available space of the C drive is getting smaller and smaller, how is this going? In fact, most of the software will generate some user files during the use process. As time goes by, these files will be more and more, which leads to less and less available space on the C drive. So how can we try to make the C drive more available? Below we take the win7 system as an example.

1. Install third-party cleaning software, such as 360 security guards with the largest installed capacity in China. It comes with the junk file cleanup function, open the software click & computer
clean up & rdquo;, then click & ldquo; one-click clean & rdquo;, there is also an automatic cleanup function is also good, can be opened after opening Idle computer
garbage automatically during idle or set time.

2, right click on the C drive, select “properties", click on the <quo;Disk Cleanup" button in the General Options;

Select the items to be cleaned in the check box of the file to be deleted, click OK and delete the file & quoquo;, and wait for the deletion to complete.

3. Change the virtual memory size. By default, the paging file size generated by virtual memory is equal to the physical memory. The larger the physical memory, the larger the C disk space occupied by the paging file. In general, virtual memory does not need to be that big, we can set it smaller. Open the Computer
property, click on the "Advanced System Settings" on the left, select the "Advanced" option in the System Properties screen, click the "Settings" button in the performance, and then in the performance options. Select the “Advanced” option and click “Change”.

will automatically manage all the drive's paging file size & rdquo; remove the previous check, then select “custom size & rdquo;, set the initial size to 128 (custom ), the maximum value is set to 1024 (custom), click “ Settings & rdquo;, after confirming, restart the computer to take effect.
