How to make the IE address bar not record the URL you entered

  
 

Our usually we click on the drop-down button on the right side of the IE address bar and you will see a list of URLs you have entered. Figure:

So how do you make the entered URL not saved to this list? The following Microsoft chiefs will share with you the method of not allowing the IE address bar to record the URL you entered:

First, click on the IE browser's "Files" menu (IE11, etc. does not display the menu bar by default). , see "How to display the menu bar in IE11 browser"), then select “Open”. Figure:

This will pop up the "Open" dialog box. Figure:

Enter the URL you need to visit and click “OK” to open the webpage.

After entering the URL in this way, you can click on the drop-down button on the right side of the IE address bar and you will see that the URL will not be saved in the URL list.

PS: If you prefer to use shortcuts, just press Ctrl+O to open “open” dialog
