Modify the registry to disable the Win8 system Charm toolbar and apply the switch

  

In Win8, the Charm toolbar and application switch will appear when you move the mouse to the four corners of the screen. For those who play games in full screen, these The function seems a bit confusing. In this case, in addition to using third-party tools, you can actually disable these features by modifying the registry.

Operation steps

First use the shortcut key (Win+R) to open the run window and type regedit.


Click OK to open the registry window and navigate to the location below (HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\Software\\Microsoft\\Windows
\\CurrentVersion\\ImmersiveShell” then right click on ImmersiveShell and Click on the New → item.


Name the newly created item EdgeUI, right click to select New → DWORD (32 bit) value.


Name the value DisableTLcorner and create a value and name it DisableCharmsHint.


Change the data of two values ​​to 1, and you can disable the charm toolbar and application switching when you are done. If you want to continue using these features, delete the newly created EdgeUI item.


Note:

This method is only applicable when the mouse is moved to the four corners of the screen. If you move the mouse to a corner and move up and down the edge of the screen, This method will fail.
