WindowXP IIS test needs to enter the user name and password

just installed the machine, installed IIS after the test pop-up dialog box, you need to enter the user name and password? Dizzy, the machine is just installed, how to set up a password? After searching the website for a long time, I finally solved the problem. Post your thoughts:

1. View site properties ——documents

Let's see if the default document exists: index.asp, index.htm, index.html (best All have, no to add)

2, view website properties ——home directory

A, local path is specified correctly

B, check if “ Script resource access”

C, whether to check “read”

D, execute permission: pure script

3, view website properties —— Directory security ——edit

A, whether to check “ anonymous access”

B, username: IUSR_computer name (not right click to browse selection)

C, password does not need to be changed, check "Allow IIS to control passwords"

D, others do not need to choose

4, view website properties ——site

A, IP address: all unassigned or select a

B, TCP port: 80 (preferably do not change, change the access method is not one)

5, right click on me computer
——manage ——local users and groups——user

A, look at "IUSR_computer name"; this user has not started, start (has red & times; is not started)

B, see "IWAM_computer name"; this user has No startup, start with red & times; no start)

C, right click on “IWAM_computer name&mquo; user——set password

6, open control panel ——Administrative Tools——Component Services——Component Services——Computer ——My Computer——COM+Applications

A, in “IIS Out -Of-Process Pooled Applications”Upright——Attribute——Identifier, Specify User: IWAM_Computer Name; Enter the password set in the above steps.

B, right-click —— attribute —— security, and remove the checkmark before enabling authentication

C Right-click on the "IIS Utilities" right-click —— attribute —— security, remove the "Enable authentication" checkbox.

All the steps are fine, then the test is left. It is. In fact, most of the time, there are not so many steps. Just feeling that this is still very complete, just turn around.
