7 years ago, the Acer Aspire One series of old netbooks installed Win10: smoother than XP

Microsoft is about to release a new operating system, Windows 10, this time free of charge and a series of improvements and optimization purposes is to build the momentum.

At the same time, for PC users, everyone is also concerned about the fluency beyond functionality. This time, Microsoft has achieved the configuration requirements and Win8 remains unchanged, 1GHz and 1G memory (32-bit) can run, so what is the actual measurement?

Foreign Media has found a 7-year-old Acer Aspire One series "netbook". The specific configuration can be said to be very backward — — Avon N450 single-core processor clocked at 1.66GHz, 1GB of memory, 32GB hard drive.

The tester then swiped the system to the Build 10240, which is said to be the official RTM, by means of a USB flash drive upgrade. The installation process takes 15 minutes. After entering the desktop, Win10 has automatically installed all the drivers. The screen resolution is also adjusted to the default 1024*600.

Because the previous XP was working at 800*600, and the actual operation did not feel obvious, so Softpedia’s view is that Windows 10 performs even better than such an outdated classic machine. Still better.

Of course, the only regret is the startup speed, which takes 40 seconds after Win10.

So, the masters, bravely walk Win10!
