Win8.1 open CHM file can not display properly download Microsoft Winhelp does not work

CHM is a common help file format, but on my Windows 8.1 system I don't know why opening a CHM file can't display content. I am using the Windows 8.1 64-bit Professional Edition system, I have downloaded Microsoft's Winhelp, but still can't display it. What should I do?

Opening the chm file in Win8.1 cannot display the content, only the following prompt appears:

This page cannot be displayed

Make sure the web address //ieframe.dll/dnserrordiagoff.htm# Correct.

Use a search engine to find pages.

Please refresh the page in a few minutes.

Solution

1. Under normal circumstances, the webpage cannot be displayed: there is a button at the bottom of the right-click chm file property, "Unlock", click the “Unlock" button. .

2. If the lock is not unlocked, since the .chm file cannot be stored in the path, the file cannot be displayed in the c# directory, so rename the directory name.

3. If you must put it in the c# directory, create a compressed package rar for chm, and then open the chm file in the compressed package, it will not appear.

The above is the solution for opening CHM files on Windows 8.1 system. In fact, the CHM format is not only used to help files, but also many novels or other books in CHM format to make electronic versions. If the user of Win8.1 can't open the CHM file, use the above method to solve it.
