Win9 preview version will have different versions to collect feedback from users.

We are now aware of the two sources of ZDNet and Neowin. Microsoft plans to provide more direct on the next-generation Windows operating system Win9 preview (internal code Threshold). The channel collects feedback from users. It seems that everyone has more feedback!

ZDNet and Neowin, according to anonymous sources, that if users use the Windows 9 Preview system and turn on automatic updates, they may create new features, while other preview users are not available. Microsoft will collect data from these different versions of Win9 systems to determine the best final release of Windows Threshold.

Microsoft will also provide some feedback suggestions that the survey needs to be completed by the Win9 Preview user, which involves a series of different topics. With the construction of different preview versions, Microsoft will adopt survey recommendations to help form the final version of Windows 9.

If these reports are accurate, it is a win-win result for Microsoft and Windows users. Microsoft will get the information that users really need to complete the best version of Windows, and users can participate in Windows Threshold development. This is a huge change compared to the 2012 Windows 8 release. On the Win8 system, Microsoft decided to strip the start menu from the desktop, forcing users to use the Metro to start the screen, which angered some Windows users.

Microsoft has now allowed Windows 8.1 users to boot directly to the desktop, and plans to return to the Metro 2.0 Start menu on Win9. As reported earlier, Microsoft is expected to host the Win9 theme conference on September 30th. The Win9 Developer Preview will also be available for download. Of course, the final version may be called Win9, or not, and will be released in the spring of 2015. (via: WPCentral)
