Intel set display official driver for Windows 8 system

  


According to the news, Microsoft has released the Windows 8 consumer preview version for more than three months. Intel integrated graphics finally has its own Windows 8 driver, and the related features are basically available, especially in The latest Ivy Bridge platform. This driver is only available for Windows 8 and does not support Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP operating systems.


The driver supports Windows 8 Build 8250 Consumer Preview, with version number 32 for 15.28.0.2729 and 64 bit for 15.28.0.64.2729, including display driver and audio driver. Two parts.

Main new features:

1. Full support for Windows 8 WDDM 1.2 display driver model, including optimized flicker-free screen rotation, native stereo 3D, DX11-based video playback (IVB only) Optimize improved system and user interface responsiveness, other reliability, and fault tolerance.

2, Ivy Bridge supports DirectX 11, OpenCL 1.1, three-screen independent digital output.

3, support DisplayPort 1.1, the resolution is up to 2560× 1600@60Hz.

4, HDMI output supports stereo 3D, color depth, x.v.Color.

5, Intel Built-in Visuals visual technology, including Quick Synck Video, InTru 3D, Clear Video HD, Intel Insider, etc., but does not support Intel WiDi wireless display technology.

For the older generation of Westmere, the HD Graphics integrated in Penryn, and the GMA 4500 series of graphics cores, the Windows 8 preview is supported by default and will be available in Windows Update in the future. Updated, but only supported to WDDM 1.1.

Hardware support includes:

HD Graphics 4000/25000 from Ivy Bridge's third-generation Core, HD Graphics 3000/2000 from Sandy Bridge's second-generation Core, and Ivy Bridge, Sandy Bridge Two generations of Pentium, Celeron HD Graphics.
