Microsoft revealed details of Windows Server 8's online backup service

Microsoft also introduced a beta for Windows Server 8. This week's Windows Server official blog revealed that Microsoft will introduce some details of the Windows Server 8 online backup service plan.

The service will download Microsoft online backups based on the established Windows Azure, and the proxy server administrator will transfer the files to the backup service. The beta version of Windows Server 8 users can now register for a service account and get 10 GB of cloud storage for free.

The blog also introduced more details about this service. Including it allows access to an online backup of any file via a simple user interface, as shown in the image above. Configurable Windows Server 8 only backs up changed data services, which should be done to cut the amount of bandwidth and storage.

The service also automatically checks the integrity of any data. This means that if any file is corrupted, the backup can be processed automatically. The blog post also stated that Windows 8 server users can back up their files by setting the time of the online service.
