Microsoft recently provided a hot fix (Hotfix) KB2295825, which finally solved the problem of poor print performance in Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 systems.

Microsoft said in the KB article number KB2295825 that computers running Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2 operating systems may have significantly different print performance than Windows Vista or Windows Server 2008 systems, and may It consumes more CPU resources when printing documents, and sometimes it can be found from the task manager that the CPU usage is always maintained at 100%.

Microsoft explained that the reason for this problem is that the single-processor computer running Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2 operating system has defects in background printing.

This release of the hot fix is ​​available for all versions of Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2. The former includes 32/64-bit and Starter Edition, Home Basic, Home Premium, Professional, Enterprise Version, Ultimate, the latter includes 64/IA 64-bit and Web, Basic, Standard, Data Center, and Enterprise.
