How to modify the MAC address in Windows system

The so-called mac address means that a host will have an IP address, and each network location will have a MAC address specific to it. If you need to modify it, then how to modify the MAC address in Windows system?

1. Under the primary key such as "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlClass4D36E972-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318000, 0001, 0002", because You may have installed more than one network card, so there may be multiple primary keys similar to "0000, 0001" under this primary key. At this time, you can find the primary key of the description of the DRIVE NIC for the NIC you want to modify. Such as “0001”.

2. Under the above mentioned primary key, add a string, the name is "NetworkAddress", set its value to the MAC address you want, to write continuously, such as "001010101010”."

3. Then add a primary key value of "NetworkAddress" to the primary key under "Ndiparams", add a string named "default" in the primary key, and write the original MAC address. , to write continuously, such as “001010101010”.

★★★ 注意★★ Actually this is just set to the initial value of the advanced attribute mentioned later, the actual MAC address still depends on the " mentioned in point 2 ;NetworkAddress” parameter, and once set, the value of the advanced attribute is the value given by "NetworkAddress"; instead of “defaul t”.

4. Under the primary key of "Networ kAddress", continue to add a string named "ParamDesc", which is used to specify the description of the primary key of "NetworkAddress", the value can be "Network Address"; (You can also set it at will, this is just a description, it doesn't matter, this value will appear as a description when you directly modify the MAC address later), so after restarting once, open the properties of the network neighbor, double-click the corresponding network card item and you will find An advanced setting with the option of Network Address (the ParamDesc you set earlier), this is the new item you added in the registry in the second step, "NetworkAddress", and you only need to modify the MAC address here. Yes. (You can also change the MAC back to the original here.)

5. Continue to add a string named "Optional" under the primary key of "NetworkAddress", and set the value to "1" It is based on the previous step to display "does not exist" this option! (If you don't understand this step, you can check the advanced attributes of other network cards. It doesn't matter if you don't do this step.) If you have this step, you should change it back directly. Check this "does not exist" on it!

6. Close the registry editor, restart the network card or system, your network card address has been changed. Open the properties of the network neighbor and double-click the corresponding NIC item to find that there is a Network Address advanced setting item. It is used to directly modify the MAC address, and the MAC can be changed at any time without restarting.

Changing the mac address is not a big project, but the steps involved in modifying the registry will make everyone discouraged. In fact, experienced users can do it themselves, but if you are not sure, don't change it.
