Using the command line parameters to patch the system

Windows systems need to be patched is a well-known thing, but you know, there are tricks to patch the system! When we use the system patch patch, we usually double-click the patch on the graphical interface to perform system patching. However, in doing so, it is often necessary to manually select or input the corresponding information when patching. In the end, it is usually necessary to restart the computer to complete the repair of the system. Using the command line patch to execute the patch to patch the system has at least some of the following advantages:

No user interaction is required when the patch is running; no user input is required; no need to restart the computer.

Obviously, these three advantages make the system patching more reliable, for example, because the number of computer restarts is effectively reduced, which makes the work more efficient.

To run the "Windows XP-KB825119-x86-CHS.exe" patch in Windows XP, we should first enter the command prompt window. Then, after entering the directory where the system patch is located, click the patch name +/? to view the command line parameters supported by the patch, as shown in the figure.

However, the "-z" parameter can be used to restart the system after the patch is installed; the "-q" parameter can be used to complete the patch without user intervention. So we can use a command like "Windows XP-KB825119-x86-CHS.exe -z -q" to run the patch.
