Cancel Windows 2000 default share

After installing Windows 2000, some hidden shares will be created. We will see these shares through the "net share” command: ADMIN$, IPC$, C$, D$, E$.... .. These default shares can be stopped by the "share" command in the right-click menu, but these shares are automatically restored after the system is restarted. For system security, we should completely cancel these default shares immediately after installing Windows 2000. If you want to disable sharing such as C$, D$, E$, you can click the “Start → Run” command, type ““Regedit” in the running window and press Enter to open the Registry Editor. Expand the [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetServiceslanmanserverparameters] branch, and set the DOWRD value in the right window to “AutoquoServer” to “0” If you want to disable ADMIN$ sharing, you can set the DOWRD value in the right window to “ldquo;AutoShareWKs” in the same branch.” If you want to disable IPC$ sharing, you can expand the [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlLsa] branch in the Registry Editor and set the value of the DOWRD value in the right window to “restrictanonymous” instead of “1””.
