Reinstall TCP/IP protocol under WinXP/2000/2003

  
1. Start ——run ——regedit.exe, open the registry editor and delete the following two keys: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\System\\CurrentControlSet\\Services\\Winsock HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\System\\CurrentControlSet\\Services\\Winsock2 2. Use the note Open %winroot%\\inf\ ettcpip.inf file and find: [MS_TCPIP.PrimaryInstall] Characteristics = 0xa0 <------ Change 0Xa0 here to 0x80 Save and exit (if it is 2000 system, here is already 0x80, skip this step) 3. Open the TCP/IP property of the local connection---Add the protocol —— from the disk —— browse to find the nettcpip.inf just saved (%winroot%\\inf\ ettcpip. Inf) file, then select “TCP/IP protocol" (Do not select that TCP/IP version 6). After this step, it returns to the window of the network connection, but at this time, the "Uninstall" button is already available. Click the "Uninstall" button to remove the TCP/IP protocol and restart the machine. 4. After rebooting, follow step 3 and re-install the TCP/IP protocol. 5, restart again, this should be OK, you can set the IP address as needed.
