Deeply open the Windows Server 2008 system mystery fog

The company's system stability and super security in the system are greatly expected, so many people like to taste new friends can not stand the temper, I did not hesitate to install the Windows Server 2008 system on my computer. However, the reliability and super security of the Windows Server 2008 system have not been fully appreciated. Most of the friends feel that the system is relatively sturdy to use, and can't find the one-stop operation feeling of the old version system. Why is this? The original Windows Server 2008 system is very different from the previous system. If we can't open the mystery fog in the system in time, we can't use the system effectively!

As you know, on a computer with Windows installed, we can execute the string command "shutdown -s -t 3600" to let the local computer system automatically shut down for one hour. However, on a computer with Windows Server 2008 installed, we can't directly use the string command "shutdown -s -t 3600" to achieve the purpose of automatically shutting down the system for one hour. What is the reason? Windows Server After the system is switched to the command line state, you can use the string command "shutdown /?" to view the parameter description of the shutdown command. You can see that the shutdown command in the Windows Server 2008 system environment has the value of the "-t" parameter. The default limit is 0-600. In other words, in the Windows Server 2008 system environment, when we use the shutdown command to shut down the system, the maximum delay can only be 10 minutes, and the delay cannot be reached for one hour. If we force the delay time of the shutdown command to 3600, then the shutdown command will automatically expire.

So, is there any way to set the shutdown command delay time to 3600 in the Windows Server 2008 system environment? The answer is yes, we can use the system's mission planning function to achieve the purpose of long delay shutdown. Here are the specific implementation steps:

First open the "Start" menu of the Windows Server 2008 system, and then click the "Programs" /"Accessories" /"System Tools" /"Task Scheduler" commands. Go to the task scheduler list window and click the "Create Task" option in the operation list area on the right side of the list window to open the Create Task Wizard window as shown in Figure 1.

Click the wizard next. In the "General" tab of the window, set the specific schedule task name in the corresponding tab page. For example, here we can set the name of the task to "Delay Close System";

Then click " Trigger tab, click the "New" button in the corresponding tab settings page, in the new trigger dialog box that pops up, the trigger condition will be triggered. Set to "once" and select the "Maximum task delay time (random delay)" option in the "Advanced settings" item here, and set the delay time to "1 hour". Of course, we can also set the delay time. Longer;

Click the "Operation" tab, click the "New" button in the corresponding tab settings page, and in the new operation dialog box that pops up, the string command "shutdown - s” is filled in the “Program or Script” text box;

After confirming that the above parameters are all set correctly, click the “OK” button in the window of Figure 1 to end the “Delayed System”. The task of creating a scheduled task, in this way, when the delay time expires, the Windows Server 2008 system can automatically perform the operation of shutting down the system, thus indirectly achieving the purpose of shutting down the system for a long time delay.
