Windows Remote Shell (WinRM) use introduction

  

Recently, in order to experiment with the server we installed Windows Server Core, the system without graphical interface always gives a very complete feeling, we are in the end of the idea of ​​security, The management method of Windows Remote Shell is used because WinRM is based on the Web Services Management (WS-Management) standard and uses HTTP port 80 (HTTPS port 443). In this way, we can remotely manage this Server Croe server with a strict firewall policy, because we only need to leave port 80.

On the Server Core server, enable WinRM command behavior:

Running this command requires administrator privileges to run, and the normal user has insufficient prompt permissions. The system will have a "y /n?" prompt to select "Y" to agree to the change, and then you can use WinRS remote management from the client. The format of the client command is as follows:

winrs -r: <ServerCoreSystemName> <command>
