Network troubleshooting under Windows Server 2008

Window Server 2008, as a server platform, typically deploys a number of services that are often network-related. The complexity of the service creates the complexity of the network, so network troubleshooting under Windows Server 2008 is more troublesome. In fact, as long as you make good use of the tools and related commands provided by the network troubleshooting can be very simple. The author below shares with you

Windows Server 2008 network troubleshooting several skills and related experience.

1. Solve local connection problems with the "Windows Network Diagnostics" tool

Faults related to "local connection" such as connection loss, limited connection, and an exclamation point have been encountered. For this kind of fault, the fault is usually detected by detecting the network card and the network cable. Usually, this solves most of the faults. However, there are a number of exceptions. When you reconnect the network cable and replace the network card, the "local connection" appears, and other faults remain. What should I do if I encounter such a situation? At this time, we may try the network "diagnostics" function under Windows Server 2008, which will generally solve the problem.

The specific method is: Click "Start" → "Network" to open the Network Manager window, then click the "Network and Sharing Center" button on its toolbar to open the Network and Sharing Center window, then Click the "Manage Network Connections" link. Finally, right-click on the local connection with the problem and select the "Diagnostics" command, then the Windows Network Diagnostic Tool will detect the local network. When a identifiable configuration issue is detected, the tool displays a list of all possible solutions. The solution prompts for an automatic fix option, and we can click on the solution to perform the repair. In addition, some solutions may require manual repairs, such as requiring a reconfiguration of the network, etc. We can follow the prompts. The Windows Network Diagnostics tool diagnoses and resolves most of the problems associated with Local Area Connection and hopes that you will be able to apply it flexibly. (Figure 1)
