A special recipe for cleaning up the history of the start menu

Regardless of whether it is a user of XP or Vista, everyone should know how to clean up the "Run" history in the "Start" menu (right click on "Start" → "Properties", then cancel the "Program List", as shown in Figure 1). However, this method has a "vulnerability". For example, if you delete all the "running" history records, the corresponding running commands will be deleted.

I have a better way to customize which "run" history is deleted, while keeping the history you need.
Run the registry, expand to the branch HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\Software\\Microsoft\\Windows\\CurrentVersion\\Explorer\\RunMRU, and then delete it selectively in the right window (Figure 2). At the same time, the "Run" history in the "Start" menu is also retained (Figure 3).

Figure 3 corresponds to the record in the run dialog box
The advantage of the second method is that the user can delete the purpose is not often used The command will not be the most commonly used command deletion, and the selective deletion will better reflect your proficiency in the system.
