How to avoid online activation and optional partitioning when installing Vista

Introduction: Many experienced users choose the "Vista and XP dual system" method when installing Windows Vista system. The advantage of using dual systems is that in the event of an abnormality in one of the systems, you can enter another system to recover as much as possible.

Although the method is very good, some netizens do not know how to install dual systems at present. This article takes this problem as an example (C drive has Windows XP installed, Windows Vista installed to other partitions), in the form of a legend to explain how to install Windows Vist to other partitions. How does Vista choose its own partition?

Tip:

In order to make everyone use Windows Vista system better, I will tell you how to avoid "online activation" during the installation process.

Log in to Windows XP and insert the Windows Vista installation CD into the CD-ROM drive (if there is an installation file on the local hard disk, double-click "setup.exe"), then follow the system prompts to install it. The process is not Complex, please pay attention to the steps.

In Figure 1, I recommend that you do not install the system by default. Click on the area in the red circle in the figure, that is, "Do not get the latest installation update" to install.

In the following picture, please pay attention to the red rectangular block. The Windows Vista installer defaults to "Automatically activate Windows when online". I strongly recommend that you uncheck this box and then click the "Next" button (Figure 2).

Then the system will ask the user whether to enter the product key now. Click "Yes", the system will let you enter the key now; click "No", the system will ask for activation after the user installs (Figure 3). I recommend that you click "No" to install.

Figure 3 Click the "No" button
After clicking the "No" button, the installer will let the user choose which version of Windows Vista to install. I chose Windows Vista ULTIMATE (the flagship version), as shown in Figure 4:

Tip:

In this step, the initial state of the "Next" button is gray inoperable, and the "Next" button will become clickable only after the user selects the Windows Vista version.
After selecting the version in Figure 4, check "I have selected the version of Windows I have purchased" below, and then click the "Next" button. Then please tick "I accept the license terms" (Figure 5).

Next, in the interface where the installer appears, only the "Custom (Advanced)" installation method is optional (Figure 6).

When the installer is here, the user can customize the Windows Vista installation partition. I chose the E disk here (Figure 7).

At this point, I have already how to avoid "online activation" and how to freely choose the partition where the system is located and share it with everyone. However, it should be explained that the "online activation" during the installation process does not mean that after the installation is completed, the Windows Vista system does not require the user to activate it, but only leaves the user with some time to activate the system in "other ways". .
