Teach you to adjust the drive letter under Vista

After adding or subtracting partitions in Vista, the problem with the drive letter is followed. You don't want c, d, g, e or c, d, f, g like drive letters on your computer. Appear. Let's adjust them.

As shown below. Since the D drive partitioned into two parts, and the letter e occupied by the drive to the original, leading to a new division of the partition only with letter f

FIG. 1

Solution:
1. Let's adjust the drive letter. Is still in disk management program, we select the drive, right-click on the pop-up menu, select "Change Drive Letter and Paths"

2, Then select "Change" in the pop-up dialog box --> In the assigned drive letter, first temporarily assign a drive letter to the drive (the purpose is to empty the e first) Drive letter), it is better to follow the drive letter (to avoid or take up the hard drive partition drive letter to be allocated)

3, then OK--> Yes--> Successfully changed the drive letter of the CD-ROM
Next we select the F-disk, the same as the step of assigning the drive letter of the CD-ROM, we change the disk of the F-disk The symbol is E. After the order of the drive letters of all the hard disks is adjusted, we can adjust the drive letter of the CD-ROM drive to the last drive letter of the hard disk.

Note
1, note that the system disk drive letter is best not to do Change to avoid vista errors. There is no open file in the partition that needs to adjust the drive letter.
2, after changing the disk symbol, the file address changes, it will cause some software shortcuts can not be used, you need to relocate or re-create shortcuts.
