Unable to select the "Upgrade" option when installing Vista

A lot of friends will find that they cannot choose the upgrade option when they try to install Windows Vista. In the "Install Windows" dialog box, you receive the following message:
The upgrade has been disabled (Figure) The basic reason is that the disk you are upgrading is FAT32, so this problem may occur.

How can I use the upgrade to install vista? The method is to convert the hard disk partition from FAT32 to NTFS format.

To convert a partition to NTFS, follow these steps:

1, click Start, click Run, type CMD, and then click OK.

2. At the command prompt, type convert drive: /FS:NTFS. For example, if the drive you are converting is a C drive, type the following at a command prompt and press Enter:
convert C:/FS:NTFS

3, restart Windows after completing the conversion Vista installer.
