Tips for extending the trial period of Win Vista RTM

For Windows Vista enthusiasts or users who plan to upgrade their systems after Windows Vista is released, the best option at this stage is to become familiar with the operation and usage of Windows Vista as soon as possible, and the application software that must be used. Be careful with Windows Vista for detailed testing, etc., to prepare for Windows Vista. The ideal object for testing is obviously not the Windows Vista RTM version. After all, the RTM version is arguably the final version compared to the previous beta or RC1, RC2. Windows Vista RTM version download (build 6000.16386.061101-2205) is currently available on the Internet.

Of course, we don't have the VLK (volume license key) required for RTM installation, but Windows Vista RTM can be installed without the product serial number. In this trial mode, Windows Vista provides all the features and features without activation, including updates using Windows Update, with a 30-day usage limit.

Note: To use the trial mode of Windows Vista RTM, be sure not to enter the product serial number during the installation process so that Windows Vista will install using the default serial number. If you enter the serial number during the installation process and it is detected illegal, Windows Vista will reduce the trial period to 3 days. If it is not activated, it will not be used.

However, the 30-day trial period may not be enough for many friends. For example, it is too late to complete all the tests. So, is there any way to extend this time or skip the activation process? The following describes the simple implementation.

Tips for Extending the Windows Vista RTM Trial Period

The easiest way to disconnect the PC from the Internet is to unplug the network cable.

Restart the system and enter the BIOS; Br>

Change the date in the BIOS to 2006/12/26, save the settings and exit;

After the installation is complete, enter Windows Vista, disable the automatic synchronization with Internet time server in Windows Vista, confirm the current date is 2006/12/26;

Restart the system, enter the BIOS again, change the date back. The correct value, save the BIOS and quit;

At this point, you can connect the PC to the Internet, for example, plug the unplugged network cable back;

Restart Windows Vista.

In this way, you can “make up” the computer system that Windows Vista forced to count down before the activation, breaking the original 30-day limit.

"Activate" Windows Vista RTM Tips

Another strategy is to try to make Windows Vista mistakenly think it has been "activated". The specific method is to fool Windows Vista activation mechanism by overwriting the two files used for activation management in Windows Vista RTM with the same name file in Windows Vista RC2 and then using the serial number of Windows Vista Beta to "activate" the system.

1. Install Windows Vista RTM in the normal way. Note that you should not enter the serial number during the installation process.

2. Download Windows.Vista.FINAL.Crack.raVen.rar (no RC Serial number) or Windows.Vista.RTM.Activation.Crack-iND.rar (including RC serial number), and expand the package;

3, enter Windows vista, open the "WindowsSystem32Licensingpkeyconfig" folder, find "pkeyconfig.xrm-ms" file;

4. Modify the file attribute, change its owner to administrator, and change the administrator's operation permission to "Full Control" in the security settings (Full Control)";

5. Modify the "tokens.dat" file attribute in the same way;

6. Restart the system and enter safe mode;

7. Use the compressed package "pkeyconfig.xrm-ms" overrides the file with the same name in the "WindowsSystem32Licensingpkeyconfig" folder;

8. Open the Service Manager (click Start => Run => Enter "services.msc"), Check if the "Software Licensing" service has been loaded If the file is loaded, stop the service;

9. Use the "tokens.dat" in the compressed package to overwrite the file with the same name in the "Windows ServiceProfiles NetworkService AppData Roaming Microsoft SoftwareLicensing" folder;

10, restart the system, enter Windows Vista, click Start => Help & Support, search for "Activate", find "Activate Windows on this Computer" in the search results item "To start the activation process;

or

11. Enter "slui.exe" directly in the search box in the start menu and press Enter;

12. Enter The serial number of the previous Windows Vista beta can be used for RC1, RC2, Beta 1, Beta 2 and other versions. If you do not have the corresponding serial number, you can apply for registration on the Microsoft CPP website, or use the serial number in the download package above;

Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the activation process.

In this way, Windows Vista RTM can "believe" that it has been activated, and of course there is no limit to the 30-day trial.
