What if the boot manager is lost

If the boot manager bootmgr in the root directory of the C drive is damaged or lost, the system will prompt to find the operating system when the computer is started, and the ntldr file similar to Windows 2000/XP is lost.
Under Windows 2000/XP, to solve this type of failure, you first need to know that the cause of the failure is that the boot manager is lost, and then enter the recovery console. At the command prompt, use the expand command to solve the copy of the ntldr file in the installation CD. Compress to the root directory of the C drive.
