The system needs to be in safe mode. You need to press F8 at startup and then select “Safe Mode” in the startup mode menu. If we add “Safe Mode” to the system startup menu, it is more convenient to enter safe mode. The author below teaches us to add the security mode to the boot menu of Win7 or Win XP.

Adding the security mode to the Win 7 boot menu
Since the Windows 7 boot menu uses the BCD configuration file, we only need to add the safe mode menu to the BCD file. BCD file editing can be done with “Bcdtool”.
1, start & ldquo; Bcdtool & rdquo; after opening & ldquo; C: bootbcd & rdquo;, then expand to "Windows boot manager & rarr; Windows boot loader", and then click on the menu bar & ldquo; edit & rarr; copy start Item & rdquo;, copy a current startup item to the list.
2, after selecting the copied startup item, double-click the "Description" in the right pane to open the name, change its name to "Safe Mode", and successfully add the "Safe Mode" menu. Start as an administrator & ldquo; system configuration utility & rdquo;.
3, switch to the "Boot" tab, select "Safe Mode", check the "Boot Options" under "Boot Options", and select "ld small" and time out Set to “5” seconds so that you can add safe mode to the BCD menu.

Add the security mode to the Win XP boot menu
1. Right click on the desktop “My Computer", left click to select <;Properties", in the Open “System Properties In the ” dialog box, select the “Advanced” tab and click the “Settings” button in the “Startup and Recovery” section.
2, in the newly opened "Startup and Recovery" dialog box, click the "Edit" button in the "System Startup" item, then open the boot.ini file with Notepad. We will copy and paste a line in the file below the "Microsoft(Windows) Professional" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect” Then, change the Professional in the line that is pasted to "Safe Mode", and close the Notepad window after saving.
3, click “ Start & rdquo; → Run, enter msconfig Enter in the "Run" window or click "OK" to open the "System Configuration Utility" dialog box, Under the "BOOT.INI" tab, click “multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Security Mode" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect” That is, the line that we copied, pasted, and modified when we opened the boot.ini file with Notepad, and then checked the “/SAFEBOOT(F)” item in the "Startup Options" underneath it. You can choose the NETWORK (meaning the security mode with network connection).
This will add the “/safeboot:network” field after the selected line, so when we restart the machine, we press the down cursor key and we will find a line in the boot menu. Windows XP Security Mode, select this to start the machine in a secure mode with a network connection.
When you restart now, you can see the security mode in the Win7 or WinXP boot menu, and you can easily enter it by simply selecting “Safe Mode” or press F8 to enter the original advanced boot menu.
