Windows system TCP /IP settings typical application case (2)

3. Make good use of spare, once and for all

Mobile office is the main feature of the pony work, you will see her carrying notebooks frequently rushing with Between the unit and the home. In the local area network, there is a DHCP server, and the pony can be put into operation immediately without IP setting. But the home network is connected to the community broadband, you need to set a fixed IP address. To do this, she needs to change the TCP/IP settings of the network card frequently, and Kobayashi helped her find a way to do it once and for all.

Open the "Local Area Connection" property, under the "General" page, select "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)", click on the "Properties" button under it, click "Automatically Obtain IP Address" and "Automatically Obtain" DNS server address" to apply to the unit's network environment. Then click “User Configuration” under the “Alternative Configuration” page, and set the IP address, subnet mask, default gateway, etc. to the value that the community broadband allocates to itself. In this way, the pony no longer needs to repeat the network configuration, and can connect to the network to move around in the unit and home. (Figure 3)

4. Use a virtual network card to block malicious websites

Xiao Li is a Standard worm, but often on the Internet, can you not make a move? Being hurt by a malicious website has almost become a commonplace. He tried IE 7/8 and modified the hosts and so on. He found Kobayashi, Kobayashi taught him a coup, and watched.

(1). Create a virtual network card

Click "Start → Settings → Control Panel → Add /Remove Hardware", select "Next → Click on the "Add /Remove Hardware Wizard" 'Yes, I have connected this hardware '→ next step'. Then select "Add new device", click "Next", select "No" in "Do you want Windows to search for new hardware?", click "Next". Select "Network Card" in "Hardware Type" and click "Next". Select "Microsoft" in "Manufacturer" and "Microsoft Loopback Adapter" in "Network Card". Finally, click "Next", all the way to the default, after the completion of the "Network Connections" window you can see the virtual network card just created. (Figure 4)

(2).Configure the shield

First, obtain the IP address of the malicious website through the Ping command, and then right click in the "Network Connection" window. Click on the virtual network card for the network connection (such as "Local Area Connection 2") to select the attribute, and in the "General" page, click "Use the following IP address." To block a website, for example, if its IP address is 60.195.*.*, the subnet mask is set to 255.255.255.0, and the default network management is set to 60.195.*.1, so you cannot open the website from this machine. (Figure 5)

If you need to block multiple websites, you can click "Advanced" and add them in the "IP Settings" page. In particular, we can mask a network segment by adjusting the subnet mask.

Summary: The above examples are just some typical exceptions. In fact, individual users have different network-related application requirements, but in any case, it will always be rewarded to dig deeper into this part.
