Win XP search for hidden files in two ways

  
1. Direct Settings

First open the "Explorer", click the "Search" button on the toolbar, click "Change Preferences" in the "Search Assistant" column on the left, the system will ask you: " How do you want to use the search assistant?", click on "Change file and folder search behavior" in the middle, then select "Default file and folder search behavior" to "Advanced" OK to see "More advanced options" One, after clicking, a lot of advanced options will pop up. Okay, what are you hesitating? Hurry and check "Search hidden files and folders". If you need other options (such as "case sensitive"), you can also Checked.

2. Modify the registry method

If you think the above settings are too much trouble, you can also achieve this by modifying the registry. Open the "Registry Editor" and navigate to the "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\Software\\Microsoft\\Windows\\CurrentVersion\\Explorer" branch. In the right window, find the DWORD value "SearchHidden" and set its value to "1".
