Win98: Failure to start failure analysis and troubleshooting after installation

Recently, I met a few friends who used the WIN 98 system. For various reasons, I could not start normally after reinstalling the system. In theory, the 98 system is still relatively stable and compatible, so what are the reasons for the startup failure? Here, let me talk about the main troubleshooting methods and processing methods, even if it is a joke, everyone has a good way to suggest not to mention:)

There are many reasons why you can't start after installing Windows 98. Such as hardware failures, configuration program problems, system registry problems, and so on. The analysis can be performed as follows:

● Starting the computer in Safe Mode

Starting the computer in Safe Mode is considered to be the best way to diagnose system problems under Windows. So, when Windows has a problem, first consider entering safe mode. The method is to hold down the Ctrl key while starting the computer, or press the F8 key when “Starting Windows 98...” appears after the self-test, and then select Safe Mode from the boot menu to enter the safe mode.

● Use [System Configuration Utility] to diagnose startup

In safe mode, click the [Start]
