Improve the ability of notebook WIFI signal through the wall

WIFI wireless signal is not "崂山道士", the ability to penetrate the wall is poor. In the student dormitory where the author is located, the location may change frequently, and the Internet may be unstable. If the room is different, the signal strength will be different. However, sometimes the network layout is not changed, so how to improve the stability and speed of the WIFI network?

1, the highest speed setting supported by the device

Enter the router settings interface and set the WIFI parameters. Set the speed of the wireless network to the highest speed supported by the network device, that is, if the device supports 802.11N, it is set to 802.11N. If 802.11G is supported, it is set to 802.11G. Try not to set it to 802.11g+a/b. form.

2, set the MIMO enhanced mode

If your wireless router supports MIMO enhanced mode, please check this option in the setup interface, then the & ldquo; Bandwidth ” set to “20/40MHZ” (select the highest setting). However, not all routers that support MIMO have this option. If you don't see this option, just set the bandwidth.

3, enable QOS control

If you see 802.11e /*** QOS this option, you might consider is enabled. In the LAN, if the downloaded classmates, friends who use PPS to watch Internet TV, and students who use P2P programs are too many, even if the signal is good, downloading and Internet access will be very good, and it will be much better to enable QOS control.

4, the wireless LAN management books

Many notebooks are now 802.11N wireless card, and with the theoretical 802.11N wireless router can reach 300M of Network speed, but sometimes the network card needs to be set. Right click on “Computer” in the Start menu and select “Manage”. If it is XP, you can right click on the desktop <;My Computer", select “Manage”.

5, check 802.11N is enabled

find the Device Manager in the management interface and find the wireless network card. Look at the "Advanced" tab in the properties to see if the 802.11N mode is set to “Enabled”. At the same time, set "throughput enhancement" to "enable" and set the channel to "automatic" or the highest value setting.

Postscript: It should be noted that the wireless card and a wireless router to match in order to get the best results, such as 802.11N Router with 802.11N network card is required to achieve maximum effect. Incidentally, there is a 128M Super-G specification, which may be encountered on old network cards and routers. This specification is more picky. In addition to routers and network cards that support this specification, it is also recommended that both wireless routers and network cards are recommended. A brand of products.
