How to improve XP boot speed

Use Microsoft's "Bootvis" software to effectively improve the startup speed of Windows XP. This tool is provided internally by Microsoft and is designed to increase the speed of Windows XP startup. Download the extract to a folder and set the current path in the <;Options” option. Then select the tracking method from the <Trace" option drop-down menu. The program will boot Windows XP reboot and log the boot process to generate the relevant BIN file. Then call this file from Bootvis and select the “Op-timizesystem” command from the Trace item drop-down menu.

Although Windows XP provides a very good interface appearance, such settings also greatly affect the speed of the system. If your computer is not running fast, it is recommended to cancel all additional desktop settings, that is, restore the Windows XP desktop to Windows 2000 style.

The setting method is very simple: right click on “My Computer", select “Properties", in the “Advanced" tab, click “Performance" In the "Settings" button, select the “Adjust to Best Performance> checkbox in the context menu.

In addition, a hardware that has a major impact on Windows XP is memory. Running Windows XP with 256MB of RAM is smoother, and 512MB of memory allows the system to run very well. If conditions permit, it is best to increase the memory.
