The slow solution after winXP startup

  

I believe that everyone has had the experience of reinstalling the system. After the system is reinstalled, the system startup is very fast, but after a while, the system starts to slow down. Sometimes it may take a few minutes to run normally. There are many reasons why the system starts to slow down, such as too many startup programs, virus effects, software incompatibility, and so on. How to solve the problem of slow start? The author summarizes the following methods to solve this problem.

Step 1: Some viruses will cause slow operation. At this time, you should upgrade the virus database of the anti-virus software to perform a comprehensive anti-virus on the system to eliminate the impact of the virus.

Step 2: Click Start - Run, then type msconfig - OK in the input box. In the pop-up system configuration program, you can disable some unimportant services and startup programs, and then restart the computer.

Step 3: Go to “My Computer”—— Tools ——Folder Options——View ——Cancel “Automatically search for network folders and printers>

Step 4: Start → Set → Network Connection & Rarr; Right click “Local Connection&rdquo ;→Attribute → Double-click "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)" → If the IP address is empty, click "Use the following IP address" to specify the IP address and subnet mask. If you can set the IP address to 192.168.0.X (X is any value between 1-255), the subnet mask can be set to 255.255.255.0→ OK → OK.

Step 5: Clear the prefetch directory, enter the C:\\WINDOWS\\Prefetch folder, delete all files with the extension pf, and restart.
