Windows XP SP2 installation failure 2

Windows XP SP2 has been hard to test, and has now entered the RTM stage (RTM English full name: Release to Manufacture, Chinese means the manufacturer version, is a large number of tablets for the factory The version, the content is the same as the official version, the RTM version number of SP2 is 2180), and many domestic websites also provide corresponding downloads. But like the previous SP versions, many friends encountered some problems during the installation. Here are two more frequent failures.

Not a core system file?
Phenomenon: When the SP2 installer is run, it will release the archive first. When the installation is about to be performed, the error message shown in the figure appears, and the installation cannot be performed.
Solution: This is mainly because some Windows beautification software including startup screen modification, such as BootXP, LogonUI Boot Randomizer, etc., or Windows installed using some Windows XP installation package downloaded from the Internet and modified. XP, they will modify the Windows Ntoskrnl.exe file, and add a command option like ""/kernel=oemkrnl.exe” in the C:\\BOOT.INI file, so that the SP2 installer thinks that the system file is Modify and refuse to install. Just right click on the desktop “My Computer" and select “Properties", click the “Advanced" tab, then click “Start & Failback">Settings> Under System Startup, click “Edit”, this will open the Boot.ini file with Notepad, find and delete the <quo;/KERNEL=xxxx” command option, save and close the Boot.ini file, restart the computer, then Just install SP2.
Blue screen error <;C0000135”
Phenomenon: After installing SP2, restart the computer, but there is a blue screen, and display "C0000135 unknown hard error" error message. Solution: From the literal view of the blue screen information, this fault is caused by an unknown hardware error, and it is easy to cause a hardware device to have compatibility problems with SP2. After testing, we found that it is not necessarily a hardware problem. It is likely that some hardware drivers or software in the original Windows system have conflicts with SP2, causing blue screen problems. The solution we have found so far is to reinstall Windows XP completely and install the SP2 installer to upgrade without installing any hardware drivers. At the same time, remind everyone that before upgrading SP2, it is best to use Ghost and other software for backup of the current system.
Tips:
As of press time, Windows XP SP2 is not officially released by Microsoft (although the official version released last time is likely to be exactly the same), so if you install it now, how much? Also take a little risk. When you decide to install SP2, it is best to back up important information first to avoid system crash. Piracy users should not install it, because this version takes some measures against some pirated Windows XP that is circulating online, which will make the system unusable.
