In order to accurately understand the fault point, the network multimeter was found to be connected to the network for testing. When the network was blocked, the network traffic measured by the network multimeter was very high, reaching 80% or more, and the data frames in which the collision occurred accounted for the vast majority. After questioning, it was found that half of the workstations received or sent data during the blockage. Three of the workstations were in the state of data transmission and reception during the network congestion. It seems that the problem is likely to occur on these three workstations. The packet traffic during the network congestion test and analysis shows that the data packet traffic of one workstation is large and outrageous, and the competition is more than ten times the sum of the traffic of other workstations. The root of the fault should be on this workstation.
The following work is to determine the location of this workstation in the LAN, by opening the backup of the MAC address of each workstation's network card, and looking up the MAC address found in the network multimeter, the location and user of the suspected workstation are identified. .

When the network was blocked, the workstation user did not use the computer, and connected the network tester to the workstation network card. It seemed to send traffic and found data collision. It has increased dramatically with the increase in traffic. From the above phenomenon, it can be judged that there is a fault in the connection of the network card, and then the network card and the network cable of the workstation are tested. The result shows that the currently used crystal heads are of three types instead of five types, so that the crosstalk at the near end of the link is more than the difference.
