Generally, when you install the ghost version of the system (not limited to the ghost version of the system, improper operations may also cause such errors), the general lite system will delete the oembios.bin file (of course not simply delete ), and then you will get this error when you install the Microsoft upgrade patch.

The solution is also very simple, as long as you find this file and copy it to your system. The following is my solution process, for reference only. 1, get the oembios.bin file. Since I am a dual hard disk dual system, the other system is xp sp2, and I have not upgraded to sp3, so I found the oembios.bin file under this system (you can also download the secondary file online, Baidu will have it) Copy to the u disk and restart the machine. 2. Copy the oembios.bin file to X:\\WINDOWS\\system32\\. In the bios, select the hard disk as the first boot item, save the restart machine, press F8 to enter the safe mode, and then copy the oembios.bin file to C:\\WINDOWS\\system32\\ (My system is installed in the C drive) ).
