Don't forget the disk fragmentation analysis report

Windows's own disk defragmentation program may not be the first choice of many people, in fact, do not underestimate it, as long as you master some skills, we can make it better for us.

First, understand the disk fragmentation

To open the disk defragmentation program, right-click on the disk partition to be sorted, select "Properties" in the pop-up menu, and the partition attribute appears. Switch to the "Tools" tab in the dialog and click on the "Start Finishing" button in the middle.

At this time, don't rush to start defragmenting the disk. Instead, you should analyze it first to decide whether you need to sort it. Generally, when the disk fragmentation is greater than 10%, you should sort the disk to improve its running performance. We first click on the "Analyze" button, then analyze the report in a few minutes, then click "View Report" to view the details of the disk fragmentation (Figure 1), including: total fragmentation, file fragmentation, the most fragmented file list Wait, if you don't see it clearly, you can print it or save it to your hard drive. For those who don't have a printer, you can only choose to save to the hard drive. Click "Save As" to save it to a folder. It is OK (Figure 2). Anxious friends may ask: What is the use of preservation? Don't worry, keep looking down and you will understand.

Second, delete the most fragmented file

Open the analysis report file saved above (if it is D disk, it is "volume D.txt" ), pull down the scroll bar to see the following part of the divider, which lists the most fragmented files in the disk partition.

As shown in Figure 3, the front is the number of fragments, check the values are large, if the corresponding file is not important or even junk files, you can delete it, so just delete a few The most fragmented large file can greatly reduce the disk fragmentation, and also remove the junk files, which is really "one stone and two birds." One way, I used this method to reduce the disk fragmentation from the original 12% to 8%, thus "spoofing" the disk defragmentation program and changing it from "you should sort it" to "no need to carry out the volume." Defragmentation!" But I have not done defragmentation at all.
