Kernel is the system kernel. When the Linux system is upgraded, the kernel will be updated. Sometimes, in order to avoid unnecessary trouble, many users will choose not to upgrade the Linux kernel. How to prohibit Kernel upgrade?

But in an update other software packages, if dependent on the latest kernel, then the update package is not successful.

# vim /etc/yum.conf

exclude=kernel*

in [ Add or modify the above content under the main] configuration section.

You can check whether it works by the following command:

# yum update
