Steam Box or Linux system

Computer Store News: According to the latest report from a German technology website, Valve's Steam Box game console will be powered by Linux in 2013.

During the exhibition in Berlin, Germany EHSM 2012, Valve engineer Ben Krasnow confirm Steam Box game console will run Linux-based systems. The report comes from the German technology website Golem, which reports that the Steam Box game console will be launched in 2013, and this product is not the only important project of Valve in 2013.

The report said that we have asked the Steam Box to be officially announced in several important game/technical exhibitions in the first half of this year, such as the 2013 E3 or the previous GDC Game Developers Conference.

Earlier, there was news that Steam Box or Microsoft's Windows operating system, but the unexpected failure of Microsoft's Windows 8 operating system made Valve have no hope for this system. The Steam Box, made by Valve, does exist and its purpose is to compete with other next-generation consoles. However, Newell did not publish any details of the Steam Box and did not announce the release date. At the same time, Steam Box will join Valve's newly developed Big Picture technology, bringing all the favorite features of the Steam platform into the player's living room and landing on your HDTV.
