10 shortcuts under Ubuntu Linux

In this article, I will talk about the shortcuts under Ubuntu. For students who are not familiar with Linux, I will explain a bit, ubuntu is one of the most popular Linux distributions. Using ubuntu in addition to the frequently used Ctrl + C (copy) and Ctrl + V (paste), there are actually some shortcuts that are not commonly used but useful. If you are collecting more shortcuts now, I believe you can find some new ones here. 1. Switching from the previous work area If you use the work area frequently, you can easily switch between them with the Ctrl + Alt + Up/Down arrow keys. The left arrow switches to the previous workspace and the right arrow switches to the next workspace. If you have Compiz installed, you can use the Super + E shortcut to display all workspaces. 2. Move the current window to another workspace. The Shift+Ctrl+Alt+Left/Right arrow keys make it easy to move the current window to the specified workspace. This shortcut is a good match for the shortcuts above. If you often open a lot of windows while working, but don't want to see the desktop and taskbars full of programs, you can use this shortcut to move the program to another workspace, so your desktop is much cleaner. 3. Display the desktop Ctrl + Alt + D shortcuts let you quickly minimize all windows and see the desktop. When all windows are minimized, you can restore the original state of the window by pressing this shortcut. 4. Right-click keyboard shortcuts In most programs, you can right-click to display the shortcut menu. In fact, Shift + F10 on the keyboard can achieve the same effect. 5. Restart the session to recover from the crash Ubuntu rarely crashes completely. But if it really crashes, you can press Ctrl + Alt + Backspace to restart the session, which can be up to 90%. 6. Quickly lock the screen If you need to leave the computer for a while, you can quickly lock the screen by pressing Ctrl + Alt + L to prevent someone from using it. 7. Reverse Switch Window Alt + Tab is a shortcut to switch windows. If you press SHIft again, you can switch the window in reverse. This shortcut is useful when you press Alt + Tab too fast, miss the window you want to switch, and press shift to return to the previous window. 8. Use the arrow keys to move the window. Alt+F7 will activate the move window function. Use the arrow keys (up, down, left, right) to move to the window. 9. Show hidden files Most of the time, you don't need to see those hidden files in your "home" directory, but if you have this need, you can press in Nautilus (ubuntu's file manager) Ctrl + H to show hidden files. 10. Display file properties without right clicking. The general practice for viewing files/folders is to right click and select Properties. Now you can press Alt + Enter to display the properties window.
