Centos hard disk partition three solutions

  
 

My personal suggestion is that if you are learning, you should recommend the partitioning scheme by default.

The following are the three options for finishing, you can simply specify the ext3 file system (first check if your own CENTOS version is supported) ⋯⋯

Install Linux on your computer, right Partitioning a hard disk is a very important step. Here are a few partitioning schemes.


Scenario 1

/: The recommended size is 5GB or more.

swap: The swap partition, the recommended size is 1~2 times the physical memory.


Scenario 2

/boot: Used to store programs related to Linux system startup, such as booting the boot loader. The recommended size is 100MB.

/: The root directory of the Linux system. All directories are hanged under this directory. The recommended size is 5GB or more.

/home: Stores the data of ordinary users, which is the host directory of ordinary users. It is recommended that the size be the remaining space.

swap: To achieve virtual memory, the recommended size is 1~2 times of physical memory.


Scenario 3

/boot: Used to store programs related to Linux system startup, such as booting the boot loader. The recommended size is 100MB.

/usr: It is used to store applications in Linux system, and its related data is more than 3GB.

ar: Used to store frequently changing data and log files in the Linux system. It is recommended to be larger than 1GB.

/home: Stores the data of ordinary users, which is the host directory of ordinary users. It is recommended that the size be the remaining space.

/: The root directory of the Linux system. All directories are hanged under this directory. The recommended size is 5GB or more.

/tmp: Put the temporary disk in a separate partition to avoid affecting the stability of the system when the file system is full. The recommended size is 500MB or more.

swap: To achieve virtual memory, the recommended size is 1~2 times of physical memory.
