How to make Linux run on U disk

Linux also has different versions, and although each has its own advantages, its kernel is similar. Recommend this operating system to everyone: Ubuntu. First download the system installation software, ISO file Ubuntu11.10 version

Install the downloaded ISO installation file, there are two ways: one is to use USB flash drive to install USB flash drive; another method is to ISO file Engraved into a CD-ROM and installed the USB disk with a CD. Focus on the U disk to install the U disk.

To install using a USB flash drive, you must first install the ISO file into the USB flash drive. You cannot directly copy the ISO file to the USB flash drive. You must use the UltraISO file to install it. The software can be downloaded online. Open the Ubuntu 11.10 file with UltraISO software.

Then use the UltraISO software's "Startup": Write to the hard disk image;

Select USB-HDD and click Write. Exit the software when you are done.

Use U disk to install Ubuntu. Put the computer into the COM settings and use the USB flash drive as the boot disk. After saving, restart the computer, and the USB flash drive will act as USB— Cdrom. After entering the interface, you can choose to install Ubuntu to the hard disk or install it to the USB flash drive. If you don't install it, you can also go online or do other things. But anything you save is lost after it is restarted, and the interface and files are all restored to their original state. The only benefit is that you are not afraid of viruses. If you want to be the same as Windows, you have to do a second installation. Of course, you can also install it in windows. After installation, you can create another boot directory in XP, but it will affect the performance and speed of UBUNTU. The best way is to install it separately.

Separate installation To partition, you need two areas: one is the virtual memory area (swap), also known as the swap area. The size is 150M ~ 1200M, recommended 1000M. The other is the primary partition, which is larger than 5 G. The installed system file is about 3G, and you will need to upgrade and download the files later. Ubuntu can be installed after the two partitions are divided. I used the 8G SD card, divided into three areas, in addition to the two Ubuntu partitions, there is another 1.5G FAT32 format partition, mainly used under Winodws, can also exchange files with Ubuntu and store files after downloading. space. When installing Ubuntu, it is best to disconnect the hard disk, which is safe.

The user name and password must be set during the installation process, or you can choose to automatically enter the password at startup. Passwords must be kept in mind and used when upgrading and installing files. Choose the language for installation, it supports many languages, and also has simplified Chinese. Of course, you can change the language online after installation. The installed Ubuntu is best upgraded first.

Ubuntu can run Word, Excel and Power Point directly in Microsoft Office. You can also not use the hard disk. The laptop I use is the Acer 1810TZ. After disconnecting the hard disk during travel, it can also save power and become a veritable hard diskless computer. The computer's battery is extended for a long time, and because there is no hard disk, it is not afraid of bumps. The performance of the whole machine has been greatly improved.

Ubuntu 11.10 also supports Bluetooth and WiFi Internet access and camera functions without reinstalling. People who like the five-stroke font can call it directly. The browser interface is also very good, especially the ‘private browsing & rsquo; function under the tool, so that you can browse any webpage without leaving traces. This is the same as IE8.0. If anyone likes the Ubuntu system, everyone can communicate.
