The former has to create a domain name mapping record that points to the corresponding IP address; for the latter, this record has been created and is in effect. And the establishment of this "translation" record requires the use of the same computer called "DNS server".

The DNS server is used in TCP/IP networks (such as the average LAN or Internet), and it is used to replace hard-to-remember IP addresses with user-friendly names (such as “www.bianceng.cn”). (eg “ 61.186.250.41) to locate computers and services. Therefore, as long as you need to use a domain name such as "www.bianceng.cn", you must first ensure that the corresponding IP address mapping work has been done in the DNS server for this name.

This article will take the DNS service that comes with Windows 2000 Advanced Server Edition (hereafter referred to as Win2000) as an example, and teach you step by step how to complete the construction of this "translation system" in the LAN.

First, add DNS service

By default, when you install Win2000, the DNS service has not been added. 3. Implementation of Goal 1
