IDC Dual Line Technology is to connect different network access provider (ISP) services to a server or server cluster through special technical means. Double IP dual line improves the speed of users accessing the website to a certain extent, but since the dual network card accessed by the server must be set on the server, the maintenance difficulty is increased for ordinary users, and all The data packets need to be routed on the server and then sent to different network cards. When the traffic is large, the server resources are occupied. This solution is the simplest two-wire solution and is generally adopted by smaller IDC providers.

2. Single IP Dual Line Solution

A normal single IP dual line refers to setting an IP on the server. This IP is Unicom IP or Telecom IP. It is sent to the network of the other carrier through the routing device setting data packet. Achieve two-wire technology. This solution can improve the user's access speed and solve the problem that the dual IP dual line needs to set the route on the server. However, since the IP address is the IP of China Unicom or Telecom, the access user does not automatically determine the most when sending the request packet. Good route.

The semi-double line technical solution belongs to the transitional form solution. This solution is generally a temporary solution adopted by a single-line IDC service provider to a two-line IDC service provider.

3. CDN implements dual-line solution

CDN (Content Delivery Network) Internet content distribution network, multi-server network hosting and smart domain name DNS, that is, the server is provided by CDN service provider, placed on different network nodes, buffered The program automatically captures the data of the user source server and then caches it on the servers of different network segment nodes. With the network resolution function of the intelligent DNS server, the solution enables different network users to access the website on the network segment closest to themselves, so as to avoid the impact of the network on the website.

At present, most CDN technologies are mature on the processing of static websites, but the handling of strong dynamic web pages is not very mature. This solution is mainly used as an auxiliary solution, and it needs to cooperate with other two-line solutions to achieve the best results.

4. Single-IP Dual-Line Solution with BGP Protocol

BGP (Border Gateway Protocol) is a routing protocol used to connect to independent systems on the Internet. It is an enhanced, comprehensive, and scalable protocol developed by the Internet Engineering Task Force. BGP4 supports the CIDR addressing scheme, which increases the number of available IP addresses on the Internet. BGP was designed to replace the original external gateway protocol EGP, which is also considered a path vector protocol.

The BGP protocol is mainly used for interconnection between Internet ASs (autonomous systems). Its main function is to control the propagation of routes and select the best route. China Unicom and China Telecom both have the AS number (autonomous system number), and most of the major network operators in the country are interconnected with their own AS number through the BGP protocol. To use this scheme to implement dual-line, apply for IDC's own IP address segment and AS number at CNNIC (China Internet Information Center), and then broadcast this IP address to China Unicom, China Telecom and other telecom operators through BGP. After the BGP protocol is interconnected, all the backbone routing devices of the service provider will determine the best route for the IP segment of the IDC room to ensure high-speed access.

The use of this program has the following advantages.

(1) The server only needs to set an IP address. The optimal access route is determined by the backbone routers on the network according to the number of route hops and other technical indicators, and does not occupy any system resources of the server. Both the upstream and downstream routes of the server can select the optimal path, which can realize high-speed single-IP dual-line access.

(2) Because the BGP protocol itself has the characteristics of redundant backup and elimination of loops, when the IDC service provider has multiple BGP interconnection lines, it can realize mutual backup of routes and route when a line fails. Will automatically switch to other lines.

(3) BGP protocol can also make the network highly scalable. It can interconnect the IDC network with other operators, and easily realize single-IP multi-line, so that all users of all interconnected operators can access it. fast. This is unmatched by the dual IP dual line.

Although the BGP solution is the best solution, this solution requires IDC service providers to invest heavily in equipment and bandwidth, and the technology is more complicated. Therefore, the current domestic adoption of this solution is limited to the strength. Strong professional IDC service provider.
