Experts solve the word can not open or send error reports have tricks

I often meet friends and ask, the word can't open or send an error report, ask what methods to solve? There are different solutions to different reasons. For this reason, Xiaobian shared the master's method to deal with this problem. I hope that It is helpful to solve the problem.
Method 1: This is caused by a problem with the template. You can restore the Normal template: 1. Close all open Word documents; 2. Copy this command: %appdata%\\microsoft\\templates3, Start → Run → Paste the above copy of the command → OK 4, in the open directory, find and delete Normal.dot, and then re-run Word. Method 2: Word cannot be opened, and the Send Error Report dialog box is displayed. It will be closed after clicking the “Don't Send” button. Run Word again and ask if you want to start Word in safe mode. If you select “ is ", Word will enter “safe mode”. In this mode, Word will only display a blank window, and you will need to open the document manually to display it. If you select “no”, Word will pop up an error dialog box and get stuck in an infinite loop. Symptom: 1.word is forcibly closed, prompting to send an error report, and then requesting to restart the word. 2. After restarting the word, I said that I encountered a serious error and need to enter safe mode. Select “No” will return to this state again, so only choose "ld"; this is a choice. 3. Enter the word safe mode, prompting that the function is disabled. 4. No matter how many times you restart, you can't start normally, you can only enter safe mode. 5. Reinstalling and repairing office2003 will not help, unless the system is reinstalled. After uninstalling office2003, I installed office2000 and officeXP (office2002), indicating that there was a serious error and the word could not be started. Cause: The template file for Normal.dot is corrupted. Possible reasons are: abnormal end of the word program, when the document is being edited or opened; the macro is written and saved to Normal.dot; other unknown reasons. Solution one: 1. Go to C:\\documentsandSettings\\User\\ApplicationData\\Microsoft\\Templates. Where “User” is the current Windows login username. Note that you need to find the tool → folder option → from the menu bar of Explorer (ie, My Computer & rdquo; or "Resource Manager"), check, select “ show all files and folders & rdquo; View hidden files and hidden folders. 2. Find Normal.dot and delete it completely with Shift+Delete. 3. Start the word and everything is back to normal. Description: Normal.dot is the template file of word. Word will check whether the status of this file is normal during the startup process. If it is not normal, the startup will fail. If the other file is normal, the file is deleted, the word will automatically re-create the file and return to the initial installation state, so you can safely delete it. Shortcut: Copy %appdata%\\microsoft\\templates to “Run”----Enter----Automatically open the templates folder----and delete normal.dot. Solution 2: Find the “Templates" folder directly in the computer, and then enter this folder. Then there will be several files named “Normal”, and a “~Normal” file will be deleted. Normal.dot” Common template file, then restart Word to restore normal. If you can't find NORMAL in the C drive, you can do this: enter WORD security mode, open any WORD document, select tools----templates and add-ons, press “document template” behind “select” , delete the file NORMAL in the frame with the right button. If you can't restart the word after deleting, try restarting the computer. Solution three: First find the following folder: C:\\documentsandSettings\\Administrator\\ApplicationData\\Microsoft\\Templates will see "Normal.dot" this file, this is a public template file, it should be damaged, delete it directly The fault is ruled out. If you can't find this folder, copy and paste C:\\documentsandSettings\\Administrator\\ApplicationData\\Microsoft\\Templates into the address bar to find the normal.dot file, delete it directly, close the WORD document, reopen it, troubleshoot If it still doesn't work, delete the office installation file and reinstall it once. One-to-one correspondence with the above methods to solve the problem of not being able to open the word, and finding that it was a difficult problem before, has become quite easy.
